Do you daydream about places you've loved or imagined? Are you curious about how writers turn ideas into stories? Join author Abdul-Razak Zachariah for a glimpse into the children’s book writing process. Write your own story idea for a new generation of readers based on your life and experiences. Abdul will read from his children’s book "The Night is Yours," explain the publishing process, and answer questions about writing for kids. Come share your world with us!

About RISE:
The goal of RISE is to provide resources, knowledge, and support for high school students as they explore post-secondary pathways and options and grow into themselves as young adults. Offerings will seek to increase awareness of options; to build academic, workforce, and general life skills; to prepare students for life after high school; and to expose students to a broad range of careers/pathways. RISE aims to provide students with the tools, knowledge, and experience to be able to make their own informed decisions about life after high school.
