Allston-Brighton Harvard Extension School Community Scholars Program

Harvard Ed Portal members, who are at least 18 years old, are eligible to apply for tuition waivers for the undergraduate or graduate certificate programs at the Harvard Extension School. Once accepted, Harvard will provide awardees with one course tuition waiver per semester (fall and spring) until the certificate is earned. In order to remain eligible, the awardee must remain in good standing and complete all requirements of the award.

The Harvard Extension School currently offers 4 undergraduate certificates, which require 3 courses for completion, and there is no application process. The Extension School also offers over 40 graduate certificates in a variety of subjects. Each certificate requires 4-5 courses for completion. There are no application requirements. This year’s microcertificate offerings offer advanced learning in a range of topics in sustainability, business management, and technology. Microcertificates require 2 courses for completion with no application required.

When submitting the application for tuition waivers, applicants must indicate which certificate or microcertificate program they are interested in pursuing.

For more information about these certificate and microcertificate programs, please visit the Harvard Extension School's official website.
