Job Search Cover Letters, Emails, and More

Date:

Tuesday, May 7, 2019, 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Location:

Harvard Ed Portal, 224 Western Ave., Allston

As a job hunter, you may have writer’s block when it comes to cover letters or emails. Or worse, you can waste precious time writing and rewriting them. Instead, by using templates and knowing when and how to customize them, your time can be better spent on more productive job search activities.

In this session, we will discuss when to use cover letters/emails and other job search-related correspondence. We will also cover when and how to follow up on job opportunities (email, phone, etc.). And since good manners are always a good idea, we will discuss the use and timing of thank you letters/emails as well.

Most importantly, you will leave the workshop with examples of cover letters, emails, thank you letters and more that you can immediately start using in your job search.

Instructor: Ginny Rehberg, Rehberg Management Group.
