Building Career Connections Series
An estimated 70 percent of people use their network to find a job. Join the Harvard Ed Portal for part 2 of this four event series to grow your network and expand your career opportunities! Participants are encouraged to attend all sessions, but previous session attendance is not required.

Part 2: Networking Tips for Job Search

Join the Harvard Ed Portal for a dynamic and interactive session with guest speaker Sabrina Woods, an experienced career development specialist who has a passion for both networking and teaching lively workshops.

In this workshop you will receive practical tips on how to continue to strengthen and build your career connections and we’ll help you answer these questions:

  1. What kinds of networking should I be attending, and where?
  2. I've made my way to a "networking event," now what?
  3. Do I need a pitch or elevator speech? How do I share "my story"?

This workshop is part of a series taking place throughout October, so you are invited and encouraged to attend these additional sessions to grow your networking knowledge, and practice these skills in a friendly and collaborative setting:

October 17, 10:30am–12:30pm: Building Career Connections: The Informational Interview
