Does your loved one have restless hands or anxiety due to memory impairment? Artist Matthew Bajor will teach you how to string a set of ancient Greek "worry beads" (komboloi) which have been used since time immemorial to relieve stress and give the hands something to do. While crafting, participants will exchange anecdotes and tips for visiting someone with memory impairment. Then head behind-the-scenes of Bajor's gallery exhibition to practice stress-free tools for engaging with art and dementia. Take away from this workshop supportive connections and a toolkit of artful communication strategies to use in daily life.

No previous experience required. Caregivers of loved ones with memory impairment are especially encouraged to attend. Light dinner included.
