Remember the feeling of staying up late under the covers with a flashlight, absorbed in a National Geographic or library book about ancient Egypt, Rome, or some faraway place? Postcards From the Past aims to bring that sense of wonder back—and turn it into a way of learning.
In this engaging artist talk, Boston Public Schools educator and illustrator Rosangeline Fleming explores how art can make history approachable, spark curiosity, and help us think more critically about the stories we encounter. Originally created to help her teenage students build vocabulary and connect classroom history to the world around them, this talk is to inspire curiosity in people of all ages and backgrounds—including those who would never call themselves “history buffs.”
Join us to rediscover the past through art, curiosity, and a fresh perspective. This talk is open to anyone, including families, caregivers and educators. This reservation includes food, drinks, artists' talk and networking.

Rosangeline Fleming (she/her)
Rosangeline Fleming is an arts educator based in Boston. Born and raised in a small farm town in western Massachusetts, Rosangeline has been dedicated to increasing education and acceptance in rural communities through the promotion of arts and cultural events with the organization The Rural Justice Network, of which she has served as a board member since its founding in 2021. With a background in graphic design and fine arts her work combines traditional and digital mediums, with a focus on exploring beauty in mundane experiences and human identity
