DESCRIPTION:<p><em><strong>RESCHEDULED FROM APRIL 21 TO MAY 6</strong></em></p><p><strong>Adapting for Impact: The Role of Resilience in Practice with Dr. Nathalie Laidler Kylander</strong></p><p>What is Resilience and why do we need it? Dr. Nathalie Laidler Kylander on the faculty of the Harvard Kennedy School, will discuss individual and organizational resilience by sharing case studies and exploring the Adversity Quotient, a measure of our ability to withstand and bounce back from adversity. This session explores how we can thrive and grow as individuals and organizations in times of turbulence and change.</p><p><br><strong>About</strong> <strong>Dr. Nathalie Laidler Kylander</strong>:</p><p><strong>Nathalie Laidler-Kylander</strong> returns to Harvard Kennedy School to serve as the Program Chair, Senior Executive Fellows (SEF). Nathalie was previously a Lecturer in Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School (2010-2016), teaching in the Management Leadership and Decision Sciences (MLD) area and chairing several executive education programs. She was also a Senior Research Fellow at the Hauser Institute. A leading expert in the international nonprofit sector, she previously served as the CEO and President of Trickle Up, a development organization focused on economic and social empowerment of women living in extreme poverty, and worked as a Managing Director at the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation, acting as an operating partner to early-stage nonprofits and global social enterprises. Additional prior teaching experience includes the Fletcher School, Tufts University (2009 - 2011) and Boston University School of Management (2007-2009). Nathalie has supported many of her students as they created and launched social enterprises both at Tufts University and at Harvard.</p>
