On November 2 at 11:00am, join Mayor Martin J. Walsh, Boston Parks and Recreation Commissioner Ryan Woods, and Harvard University’s Executive Vice President Katie Lapp for the grand reopening of Smith Field.
Celebrate the unveiling of $6.4 million in renovations—including $3 million from Harvard University community benefits. The renovated park hosts a new state-of-the-art playground with splash pad, a multipurpose field for sports, a street hockey rink, basketball courts with lighting, a community area, “wheel-friendly” areas for skateboards and bikes, and Boston’s first pump track.
Refreshments will be served courtesy of HP Hood.
