*For high school students!*
Have you ever visited or heard about a museum and wondered what it would be like to work there? While exhibitions may not magically spring to life every night, the reality of a museum career can be just as exciting. A job in an art museum means working in an enriching environment where you can turn your passion for art, people, and history into a meaningful career. We invite you to join employees at the Harvard Art Museums to learn more about the types of careers you can pursue in a museum. Hear what it’s like to work in Safety and Security, Visitor Services, Exhibition Production, and Collections Management, and learn how to start on a career path in one of these exciting fields!
The goal of RISE is to provide resources, knowledge, and support for high school students as they explore post-secondary pathways and options and grow into themselves as young adults. Offerings will seek to increase awareness of options; to build academic, workforce, and general life skills; to prepare students for life after high school; and to expose students to a broad range of careers/pathways. RISE aims to provide students with the tools, knowledge, and experience to be able to make their own informed decisions about life after high school.
