Reflect on where you are right now to where you want to be. What comes easily to you? What do you love the most about yourself? Where do you want to put your energy?
Explore these questions and learn more about your inner world in this hands-on workshop led by Brighton artist Deborah Johnson. Start with a short meditation, look at examples of self-published magazines ("zines"), and create your own illustrated zines with pen and paper.

About RISE:
The goal of RISE is to provide resources, knowledge, and support for high school students as they explore post-secondary pathways and options and grow into themselves as young adults. Offerings will seek to increase awareness of options; to build academic, workforce, and general life skills; to prepare students for life after high school; and to expose students to a broad range of careers/pathways. RISE aims to provide students with the tools, knowledge, and experience to be able to make their own informed decisions about life after high school.
