Introduction to Your Online Presence

Date:

Thursday, April 23, 2020, 6:00pm to 7:00pm

Location:

Online via Zoom

When you join a virtual call, the first thing other participants look at is your home or office; checking out your décor, furniture and housecleaning. Then they look at you, and lastly, they listen to you. Jill Slye, instructor at the Harvard University Extension School, will help you determine what first impression you want to make and how to create your virtual presence. In this free 1-hour workshop we will discuss:

1. Creating a professional online image.

2. Setting up your office and web “picture.”

3. The importance of visibility and presence when you can’t always be seen.

Please note: Participants must be able to connect to the workshop with video and audio using Zoom. You will receive feedback from the instructor on your online image so please be prepared. This workshop provides no technical training. We highly recommend you take the Introduction to Zoom workshop offered by the Ed Portal as a pre-requisite. Check our events calendar for upcoming schedules.
