Interviewing Skills for Job Seekers

Date:

Wednesday, May 22, 2019, 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Location:

Harvard Ed Portal, 224 Western Ave., Allston

Since job interviews don’t happen every day, it’s a skill that can get rusty. In this workshop, after discussing the importance of research before the interview, we will cover typical interview questions, including suggested answers, as well as how to handle tricky or difficult questions. Additionally, we will discuss how to prepare “meaty” questions for the interviewer.

Most importantly, we will focus on the concept of “proactive interviewing.” In order to set yourself apart in the interview, you want to be proactively prepared to discuss solutions to the company’s problems. We will discuss how best to do this so that you will place yourself miles ahead of any other candidates.

And, since practice makes perfect, we will role-play interview scenarios to simulate the interview experience.

At the end of this workshop, you will leave with a comprehensive handout that will provide details on all of the items covered in the workshop to help position you for success in your next interview.
