Three-time Grammy nominated chamber orchestra A Far Cry returns to the Harvard Ed Portal for a cross-disciplinary program that examines the power of gravity and space through a musical lens. Join A Far Cry for an open rehearsal and discussion that will preview the ensemble’s upcoming concert, Gravity, and include commentary from composer Osvaldo Golijov. The evening will provide a window into their uniquely democratic rehearsal process, and explore the science behind music and the sounds of the universe with MIT theoretical particle physicist Jesse Thaler.
A Far Cry Presents: Sounds of the Universe is sold out. We will start a wait list at 6:30pm at the Harvard Ed Portal’s front desk to allow participants to take the seats of ticket holders who do not show up by 6:50pm.
