Call for Submissions – FREQUENCIES: The Sights and Sounds of Allston-Brighton

Date:

Monday, September 20, 2021 (All day)

What's the frequency of your city? What's your daily rhythm? Are we all on the same wavelength, living in sync in the neighborhoods we call home?

Frequencies, an interactive digital art installation by Allison Tanenhaus and Maria Finkelmeier, will explore these themes in a vibrant, large-scale display beamed into the gallery windows—and sidewalks—every night at the Harvard Ed Portal, November 2021–February 2022. Read more here.

Want to help create a multi-faceted representation of the many sights and sounds of the neighborhood? Submit a photo, recording or video of everyday moments that make Allston-Brighton special to you. Community submissions will be remixed into experimental musical compositions and eye-catching abstract video art for all to enjoy in a multimedia public art piece.

If your submission is selected, the artists will make every effort to credit you as a contributor and stay true to the spirit of your footage.

Submission Deadline: September 20
