    Let's get messy exploring clay at the Harvard Ed Portal!  Taught by Ceramics Program instructor Jenny Blicharz, this four-day workshop will teach the basics of hand-building with clay. Participants will be guided to make a variety of functional objects to take home, inspired by the animal kingdom. This workshop is open to Ed Portal members in grades four and five.

    To reserve their spot, participants will pay a $20 deposit which will be refunded at the end of the workshop.

    The Over 40 Job Seekers Connection is a networking group that focuses on the unique challenges facing individuals over the age of 40 who are pursuing or transitioning to a new career or searching for a new job. Led by Ginny Rehberg, President of Rehberg Management Group, each session has a facilitated discussion on topics including ageism, discrimination law, discussing career changes or transitions, overcoming being “overqualified,” and shattering stereotypes.

    Becoming a Skilled Interviewer

    Prepare for every step in the interview process—from the phone interview to the crucial final meeting. Whether you are an experienced or novice interviewer, this session will help you learn how to put your best forward and respond to questions with more confidence and conviction!

    Participants will gain an understanding of behavioral interviewing, practice giving descriptive answers, and learn questions you legally can and cannot be asked. Attendees will also be given a packet with practice questions and a tip sheet for writing thank you notes.
