    Farmers' Market at the Harvard Ed Portal

    Harvard Ed Portal, 224 Western Ave., Allston

    The 2016 Farmers' Market at the Harvard Ed Portal will run on Fridays from June 24-October 28 and will feature a wide variety of fresh, locally grown produce and specialty products. Come enjoy the variety of products and a relaxing afternoon with live music. Visit City Hall To Go on the third Friday of each month, or drop off your residential compost. This year's regular vendors include White Rabbit Farm, Zero Mile Farm, Belmont Acres Farm, and Chrissy's Crumble granola. Part-time vendors include Omega Oil Healthy Cooking Blends and Caroline's Kitchen jams, baked goods, and cooking stocks.

    Summer Yoga

    Come relax and unwind at the Harvard Ed Portal’s Summer Yoga series on Friday nights. The class is open to all regardless of experience. Come try one class, or sign up for the whole series. We'll incorporate flowing, intentional vinyasa-style movements, stretches, and breath practices to relax the body and nervous system. Appropriate modifications will be offered for all skill levels and abilities, ensuring participants the maximum benefit and healthy alignment.

    Come join us for a summer Scratch celebration! Scratch is a free computer programming language and online community where you can code and create your own interactive stories, games, and animations. Scratch Day is for people of all ages and all levels of experience with Scratch. We'll have activities and workshops for people who are just getting started with Scratch and for experienced Scratchers.

    Stop by the Harvard Ed Portal’s Crossings Gallery for an exhibition and festivities celebrating the Summer Explorations programs taking place this July. You can also take part in a free computer programming Scratch Celebration taking place at the same time!
     
    The exhibition will be on view through August 5th. Don’t miss the opportunity to see this special collection of work representing the variety of activities students participated in this summer.

    Join the New England Foundation for the Arts (NEFA) for a free info session on Creative City, a three-year pilot that makes grants to Boston area artists to create works that integrate public participation. This session is designed to help artists prepare applications. Artists are welcome to bring project ideas and questions about the application process.
