Providing Allston-Brighton residents with opportunities to access and participate in wellness and recreation programs offered by Harvard University, and in coordination with community partners.

Harvard Athletics Partnerships

Through a partnership with Harvard Athletics, Allston-Brighton residents can use Harvard’s Blodgett Pool during the summer months and Harvard’s Bright Hockey Center during the winter months. In addition, free or discounted tickets to Harvard Athletic events are made available throughout the year, as well as special events, such as the annual Community Day at Harvard Stadium and the annual Allston-Brighton Family Skating Party at Bright Hockey Center.

Center for Wellness at Harvard University Health Services

In partnership with the Center for Wellness at Harvard University Health Services, the Ed Portal hosts classes and wellness workshops for Allston-Brighton residents, Harvard affiliates, and the general public.

The “Relax and Renew Yoga” series is held at the Ed Portal several times throughout the year, and is available to Allston-Brighton residents for a discounted, nominal fee each class.

Farmers’ Market at the Harvard Ed Portal
The Harvard Ed Portal manages the operations for the Farmers’ Market at the Harvard Ed Portal which runs every Friday from mid-June through October at the Ed Portal, 224 Western Ave., Allston. Read more ›

Community Partners
Through partnerships with community organizations, such as CommonWheels Bicycle Co-op, the Ed Portal also hosts special programs and events to bring wellness and recreation opportunities to the community.
